 AWC was founded in order:

1. To raise awareness regarding humane treatment of cats and all other animals through animal welfare materials such as fliers, videos, and presentations.

2. To control the growing AUB cat population while tending to its welfare. The humane population control method chosen by the club is of the utmost importance: it is spaying/neutering, also called sterilization or castration, a method approved by all humane organizations abroad.
